Time flies like some soccer games. It's been two weeks since my trip to Malta and what impressions I was able to gather. I was allowed to get to know the island, the people and the food, although an intensive week-long English language course was actually planned, well. On site I only had the airport transfer and my hotel for the next 7 days meant I had to organize everything myself. Whether guided day tours or an independent tour of the island. Especially the latter is always exciting and thrilling, since you get to places that are far away from typical tourist attractions. The best example here is the Maltese national stadium, which is located in Ta' Qali. At 35 °C and hardly any shade, I took public transport directly to the stadium. I could already see the stadium from the bus. A few meters after the bus station I was finally there. I walked around that stadium a total of three times, also to see if nobody saw me. As the stadium gates were blocked with privacy screens. Nevertheless, I saw opportunities to take photos after all. Self-confident and recognized, I climbed the stadium wall and then the fences, had to lean forward and even balance on one leg to take my pictures with my small compact camera. I left satisfied and continued my self-created day tour.
